Flirty Engagement session in the Desert

The language of expressing love to your partner for life is different for every couple. It can be shown through kind generosity, sweet words to each other, or just the look in your eyes. For Jenny and Caleb their love language is touch, the sweetest snuggles, cuddles, and nuzzles. These two couldn’t keep their hands off of each other during their flirty engagement session in the desert.

Within that first week of being in Phoenix they had gone on their first date

Caleb is a thoughtful guy and that is a big reason they are together. They had met online when Jenny was in town for a job interview. But by the time he got her invitation for a celebratory drink she was already on a plane back to her hometown in Minnesota. Well as fate would have it, Jenny would be soon moving to Phoenix as she got and accepted that job she had the interview for. A few days before moving to Phoenix Caleb sent her a thoughtful text wishing her safe travels. Within that first week of being in Phoenix they had gone on their first date and they were inseparable from that moment on.

desert with springtime blooms

Jenny and Caleb are an adventurous couple and love to hike the beautiful landscapes of Arizona. So what better way to have their engagement photos that in the desert with springtime blooms. Pink is Jenny’s favorite color, and she was on the lookout for pink cactus blossoms. As we walked down the sandy path lined with dried grasses and tall saguaros she spotted a spectacular prickly pear blooming. The desert is a magical place in the springtime.

we heard a faint buzzing sound

As the sun was getting lower on the horizon and the desert became aglow and the wildlife began to come out of their shady spots. As we all know, being the wild desert it comes with its risks. Most people think of the cactus thorns, rattlesnakes, heat and scorpions. But for us it was something else. We were shooting near a beautiful pair of saguaros and we heard a faint buzzing sound, and it got louder…and then even louder… We all instinctively ran from the cloud of bees, thousands of them. Luckily they were just a swarm of peaceful honey bees just passing through in search of a new home. Caleb with his fear of bugs called this a “life moment”, we agree.

fun balance of adventure and relaxation

We can’t wait to shoot their wedding at Red Agave Adventure Resort, it is coming up quickly! Jenny and Caleb’s wedding will have a fun balance of adventure and relaxation. We are so excited for the idea that they have for their upcoming first look, it will be so fitting for their adventurous nature. Be sure to keep an eye on our instagram stories in the near future to see what we are talking about. And make sure to leave a comment below congratulating them on their flirty engagement session in the desert!

Congratulations Jenny & Caleb – You’re a beautiful couple. I hope our paths cross again on those desert trails. Everything else pales once you’ve hiked the Grand Canyon but there’s plenty of other awesome places to hike. Best wishes to you as you start this chapter of life’s adventure.
