Red Agave Resort in Sedona was a perfect spot to say I do for these carefree and adventurous souls. Chascity and Leo got married on a sun shiny, but cool and breezy 75 degree day, with sweeping views of the majestic red rocks. The adorable (and remodeled) A frame chalets, nestled comfortably into the heart of Sedona, tied in perfectly with the color theme of Chascity and Leo’s wedding, orange and purple.
We met Chascity and Leo a little over a year ago after they found us by tirelessly scrolling through several pages of Google to find the style of photographer they were looking for (we’re working on that, now at the top of page 3 woop!). We are so glad that they did their homework and landed on us. They have since become friends of ours and we hope to hang out with them more in the near future. It’s very easy to love these two, they are very carefree and easy to talk to, and their personalities compliment each other beautifully. Leo is friendly and outgoing, and Chascity is so sweet and smart and caring. The one thing that they both obviously have in common is that they love with their whole hearts, and that love is open, free and honest. Not just for each other, but for all the people who are blessed enough to be a part of their lives. They give REAL hugs and aren’t quick to let go, they ask questions that show that they care and they listen well to people’s responses. We know because we’ve seen it and experienced it ourselves. Chascity and Leo’s Red Agave Resort wedding was just as perfect for them as these two deserve.
The feeling of the day was apparent the moment we arrived. Chascity was relaxed and cheerful, while Leo lent a helping hand to everyone being the humble and kind person he is. The girl’s watermelon and pink moscato mimosa’s were poured while they enjoyed being being pampered by Salon Staradorra. The guys all pitched in to hang strings of lights, help with table settings, and build a boho-chic tent to escape the Arizona sun; while remembering the good times together and joking around. All of the family and friends were happily doing their part in helping to prepare for the celebration. Everyone just loves this couple and would do anything for them, just like they would for anyone they love.
You may recognize this sweet couple from their incredibly beautiful engagement session (Boho-chic engagement at Red Rock Crossing) that we did last year with their jerk, I mean dog, Toby 😊💗💕. Just kidding, we love that guy! Funny story; I (Priscilla) have since forgiven him for running me over while I tried to catch him after getting off his leash, and dragging me with my equipment through the sticker filled grass at Red Rock Crossing. Picture me leaping into the air with a stop drop and roll landing. True story, and one that Chascity and Leo have heard several times over. But nobody got hurt, not even my camera and its actually one of my favorite photographer mishap stories that makes me giggle every time I get to share about it! He really is a good boy that I now lovingly refer to as Toby “the jerk”😂. You’ll see this handsome boy in the photos later, with his different colored eyes and distinguished mustache. Hugs to Toby!
We’ve had several times to hang out and enjoy Chascity and Leo’s company outside of wedding planning stuff. We see them frequently in our day jobs where they lift our spirits and make us smile.
Over the last year of planning this big day there was nothing that could’ve stopped their happiness, through all of the long days of work, school and all the tests. They reached out to us a week before their wedding asking if we knew of any officiants, their’s backed out last minute. We gave them a couple of names but luckily they were able to find someone to make them official. Hazel and her Husband were gracious enough to step in even though they had another ceremony that same day. They brought with them a plethora of knowledge about wedding day traditions and a bright and joyful attitude. Thank you for making yourselves readily available for Chascity and Leo!
They exchanged vows that they had written for each other at the edge of a field, overlooking Bell Rock and Courthouse Rock. Leo surprised his bride with a new wedding ring and it was gorgeous. She had no idea until he slipped it on her finger at the ceremony and her reaction was adorable. When you see the ring, you’ll see that Chascity is now very married! They opted for a sunset photo session (which was so pretty) where Leo literally swept her off her feet as they ran through fields laughing and twirling together, just like we think they’ll do through their lives. They danced to an awesome play list provided by a good friend who is also a DJ and played backyard games as the sun finished setting (including a couple rounds of their fiercely competitive musical chairs) and they only had one casualty…a chair. Broken by the bride herself but she just laughed as she waved her broken chair leg in the air like a trophy! 😂
Chascity and Leo, we hope you spend all of your days dancing and twirling through this life and that you always keep that carefree quality to your love. We have enjoyed getting to know you both better over the last year, through all of our busy seasons of life and we are proud to call you our friends, thank you for having us share in your sweet day and we were so honored to document it for you both! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness and So. Much. Laughter.
