A Sedona Engagement is Iconic. People travel far and wide to bask in the golden desert sun and take in the wonder and soothing vortex that is Sedona. Understandably so, being surrounded by those Red Rocks are awe inspiring and literally takes your breath away. And it is those very Red Rocks that brought Leo and Chascity to live in Arizona, all the way from the east coast. Adventurers at heart, the desert was calling their name. So it seems only fitting that they would commit their lives to each other in such a wondrous spot, next year.
The day of the Sedona Engagement session was veiled with a soft overcast sky, a gentle breeze and the park was calm. Chascity and Leo and their sweet and energetic rescue pup, Toby, love taking long hikes and enjoy the great outdoors. Toby wanted nothing more that to take a dip in the cool running waters and lead the way, but he refrained, trying very hard to maintain his patience and reluctantly he waited as his humans spent some very sweet time together documenting their love. We ventured our way to the creek and they took a quiet moment to snuggle up there, at the base of Cathedral Rock. Leo, being the thoughtful gentlemen that he is, insisted on wiping off the excess dirt before she sat. They wrapped up in each other and Leo gently ran his fingers through Chascity’s gorgeous hair. They held each other close as they waded in the cool waters of Oak Creek.
Though we appreciate the soft light that the clouds provided, we were all moved when the sun peeked out from the clouds right as it dropped below the horizon and lit up the red rocks. And we all oohed and awed at that glorious desert glow.
Chascity and Leo’s Sedona Engagement session was one of our favorites to date. Their sweet and goofy and easy to talk to demeanors made our job effortless and so much fun. We all laughed wholeheartedly throughout the evening with playful banter and they were so undeniably comfortable in each others arms. It was quickly made evident that their love is truly pure and organic. It’s the kind of love many people spend their entire lives searching for. Chascity and Leo, we know your wedding isn’t until next year but we want you guys to remember this sweet time, being engaged, and we were so happy to be the ones to capture this season, forever for you both.
