Natalie & Mckenzie’s Rustic Wedding at Lost Dutchman State Park

Ok guys! This is the second wedding from our double header weekend and our final wedding of the season! And boy are you in for a treat! What a beautiful day for an Arizona Desert Wedding. We first met Natalie & McKenzie at Jordan and Andrew’s beautiful Sedona wedding that you may have seen on our blog a few months back. Mckenzie was a bridesmaid, and she brought Natalie along with her. We took a very sweet picture of them at that wedding (pictured at the end of this blog) and when they decided to tie the knot themselves, they called us up. We were so excited to work with them again as they are truly some of the sweetest people we’ve met. They’re thoughtful, beautiful inside and out and just a joy to be around. And in meeting their friends and family we totally understood where that comes from. Everyone welcomed us with open arms and spoke words of gratitude and encouragement and for that we are so thankful! This has been our busiest season for our wedding photography business yet, so to end it on such a sweet and positive note really touched our hearts and left us feeling more driven to keep pursuing our dream!

Natalie and Mckenzie are both originally from Arizona and became friends in high school, since then their story has unfolded into a beautiful love. They’ve since made a home in LA and love taking Disney Land Date days (jealous) followed by a steaming bowl of Ramen (also our favorite food;o) The girls got ready for their Arizona Desert Wedding at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale and made it official at Lost dutchman state park next to the superstition mountains. And you know we were thrilled when we arrived at their ceremony and reception location to find food trucks! Tacos for dinner and Ice cream from their favorite ice cream shop when they were growing up for desert…umm yes please!

These pictures are truly some of our favorites, we loved their soft palette of creams and blush with a vintage/eclectic touch. McKenzies bouquet was made from pieces of her mother’s wedding dress with all sorts of memories sprinkled throughout, like brooches that were her grandmothers and Disney pins to represent people and memories. Natalie’s beautiful bouquet of roses and succulents had pictures of relatives past carried with her throughout their day. And a first for us at this wedding was working with Mija the Beer Burro, she’s calm and she likes carrots, hugs and she brings ice cold beer! Also she is beautiful, thanks for letting us take pictures with you Mija!

Natalie and Mckenzie, we hope you enjoy these photos for a lifetime to come and thank you for inviting us into your day with you guys and thank you for reminding us why we do what we do! Oh and thank you for the ice cream and memories!
